Text Search (Standard)
When you use text search, the system operates as an AND operation between the terms you enter. This means that:
-
Include multiple keywords? The system will search for all documents or pages that simultaneously contain all the words you typed.
-
Example: If you search for 'comune morro d'alba orari' (municipality morro d'alba hours), the system will only return results that contain all three words: "comune" (municipality), "morro", "d'alba", and "orari" (hours) within their content. This type of search is ideal when you know exactly what you are looking for and you want precise results containing a specific combination of terms.
Semantic Search (Intelligent)
Semantic search goes beyond simple keywords. When you use this mode, the system strives to understand the meaning of your phrase or question. Instead of looking for exact word matches, it will search for results that are semantically (i.e., by meaning) close to the phrase you searched for.
-
Example: If you search for 'where can I buy medicines?', semantic search might return results that discuss facilities where products like medicines are sold, even if the exact words "where", "can", "I", "buy", "medicines" are not present in the text.
